 <  Day Day Up  >

The new ProLiant 100 family represents the ultimate value in a ProLiant server. This new series of systems was designed to fit the budget of a small office or IT projects where scaling out on a lower budget is a priority. The ProLiant 100 class offers affordability as its primary feature.

note

To maximize affordability, the ProLiant 100 class does not offer the same support and options found in the ProLiant 300, 500, and 700 series. The Insight Management agents and SmartStart support are not available for the ProLiant 100 series.

The ProLiant 100 series includes the following models:

  • ML110 Class 1 Light Duty Server : Single Intel processor, up to 4GB advanced unbuffered ECC memory, PCI gigabit NIC (embedded), five PCI slots, and choice of slotted SCSI or integrated ATA storage controller.

  • DL140 Class 1 Basic Duty Server : The most cost-effective way to deploy multiple 1U rack servers for grids and clustering. These servers offer up to two Intel Xeon processors, up to 4GB DDR memory, two non-Hot Plug drive bays, dual embedded 10/100/1000 Ethernet server adapters, one 64-bit/133MHz available slot, and optional 24X CD-ROM. No floppy support is available.
