Conclusion

There is a lot more to performance testing and debugging than I could possibly cover in a single chapter, but the technologies and techniques identified here should serve as an excellent starting point for your own applications. Going forward you'll want to look more closely at all the classes provided by the System.Diagnostics namespace. One of the topics I haven't covered but well worth investigating is the ability to create custom performance counters. Regardless, you should be able to make a start at instrumenting your own applications and making the whole process of error handling more predictable and manageable. Build off of the material in this chapter and add debugging and error handling features to your own applications.
