Never give something away without working out what it means to them. Never give something away without getting something back. And always ensure that what we give is seen as genuinely valuable or significant to our counterpart.
Never give, always trade. What I offer you must be balanced by what you offer me. Nothing is given away. If we move on any term, we must ensure that the other person moves towards us. Putting this into practice will automatically make you feel more authoritative. It will give you increasing confidence, and as you practise, it will quickly yield improving results.
