The note opens. View the note and make changes to it as needed.
When you are finished editing the note, click its Close button. The note is updated.

Of course, the entire point of using Notes is to enable you to view the items you've jotted down at any time, either to review the information or to change it in some way.

Using the Shortcut Menu to Open Notes
You can right-click a note in the Notes list and then click Open to open the note.
