MODULE 19: USING REPORTS

Overview

The Using Reports Module introduces how to generate reports using the Reports function within MS Project 2000.

Objectives

The participant will:

  • Be able to create and print a variety of reports using the Reports function.

Preparation

Review the contents of this module and do each of the exercises at least once to familiarize yourself with the logic and outcome.

Presentation

The activity in this module cites the aim of the exercise and that the level is suitable for basic users.

ACTIVITY

19.1 How to open and view each report within the Reports function.

EXERCISE 19.1 ¢ LEVEL: BASIC ¢ EXAMINING REPORT TYPES

  • Pick View menu.

  • Choose Reports.

  • Five (5) groups of predefined reports are available.

  • Review each report.

Dialog

Explain that MS Project 2000 has a series of pre-formatted reports in it, that will print specific information in a table format. Each report only provides certain information that may be used, at certain times in the project, to report on specific data. Note that the you can create your own reports by using the customize reports function or use the filter command to change the information showing on the computer display screen.
