The key to time management is for the project manager and each member of the team to remember that whatever they are doing, time is incredibly valuable, and that time is literally money. No one should waste a second. The best approach to time management is to define what activities need to be done, then work out the sequence in which they should be done, and then what resources are needed to do those activities. This in turn allows the time taken to be estimated, and a schedule put together. Then, when doing the project, control the work so that either it follows the planned schedule, or the schedule is updated. |
