Using Cisco's Exam Software Effectively

Unlike some exams by Cisco and other companies, the 642-521 exam software does not allow you to mark questions or review them later. You cannot skip questions or go back to them later. In fact, the test engine does not let you proceed if you have not selected an answer or have not chosen the correct number of answers.

With this in mind, time management is very important during the test. You cannot save difficult or lengthy questions to answer at the end of the exam. For this reason, it is helpful to monitor your progress by checking the clock periodically during the test. Be sure that you are one third of the way through the test when one third of your time is up. So, you must move through the test efficiently and not spend too much time on the simulation-style questions.
