Before you can access SAP R/3 from your PC, you need to take care of a few items:
You must have the SAP R/3 client software installed on your PC. It's also called the SAP GUI (SAP Graphical User Interface, sometimes pronounced "SAP-gooey").
You need to be connected to a network through which you can access your SAP R/3 server. You can usually arrange this through your local support organization.
You need a user name and password to log on to SAP R/3. You can also arrange this through your local support organization.
You need to know the client name of the system to which you want to connect.
