In the preceding chapter, you examined long- and short-term project management training goals. If you are very lucky, the workshop materials in this book may just about meet all of your short-term training goals. In reality, you may find that you ‚ ll need to adapt the workshops outlined here to include necessary additional content to meet some of your short-term goals, perhaps deferring or eliminating some content as not applicable . In adapting workshop content, keep in mind the element ‚ s modularity, reusability, adaptability, and ‚“findability ‚½ discussed in the earlier section on ‚“Targeting a Wide Audience. ‚½

Begin to think about the implications of your long-term training goals. Which ones are you going to address in the future? Which ones will you address with the help of an outside solution provider or training partner? Which ones will you leave to your individual learners to reach (perhaps through external workshops or a college course)? Examining these questions can help lead you to your first pass at a comprehensive project management training plan.
