How to Read This Book

 <  Day Day Up  >

This book is designed so that you can read it cover to cover as a tutorial introduction to InfoPath. Particularly in some of the early chapters, you are shown detailed working examples of how to create InfoPath form templates. I would recommend that you work through the examples in those chapters on your machine, so you gain familiarity with the structure of the InfoPath user interface and increasingly become comfortable with controlling the form template design and development process. At the time of this writing, a 60-day trial copy of InfoPath 2003 can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/office/infopath/prodinfo/trial.mspx, if you don't already have a copy of InfoPath.

I would suggest that, at a minimum, you read Chapters 1 through 6 from beginning to end. After Chapter 6, you can continue to read chapters sequentially, but you may prefer to dip into chapters of interest. Many InfoPath concepts and techniques are interconnected , so chapters contain many cross-references to other information with which you need to be familiar.
