The VersionUpgradeEvent Object

The VersionUpgradeEvent object is used during the process of upgrading the version of an InfoPath form in response to a difference in version numbers between the form and the published form template. The VersionUpgradeEvent object has several properties to interact with the form's XML document to determine the number of the form's version, the form template's version, and the success (or otherwise ) of the upgrade process.

VersionUpgradeEvent Object Methods

The VersionUpgradeEvent object has no methods.

VersionUpgradeEvent Object Properties

The VersionUpgradeEvent object has four properties:

  • DocumentVersion ” Read-only. A string specifying the version of an InfoPath form ( .xml file). Security level 2.

  • ReturnStatus ” A Boolean value indicating the success or failure of a form upgrade. If the value is false , the upgrade process fails and the form is not opened in the InfoPath client. Security level 2.

  • SolutionVersion ” Read-only. The value of the version of the form template ( .xsn file). Security level 2.

  • XDocument ” A reference to the XDocument object. Security level 2.
