Objects in Active Directory are the building blocks of the network. In this chapter, you learned how to manage access to these objects by using both standard permissions and special permissions. You also learned how to verify the effects of these permissions by using the Effective Permissions tool. We also briefly touched on how to move objects between OUs and what happens to the effective permissions when we do. In the last part of the chapter, we worked with the delegation of control of objects in an OU. Although this can be done by assigning individual permissions, the Delegation of Control Wizard makes this task quick and efficient. Key Terms
