check disk
A utility that checks the file and folder structure of your hard disk. You can also have Check Disk check the physical structure of your hard disk. Check Disk can perform repairs as required.

computer account
The computer account is a security principal, and it can be authenticated and granted permissions to access resources. A computer account is automatically created for each computer running Windows NT (or later operating systems) when the computer joins the domain.
counters
Each object has several monitoring functions called counters. Each counter offers insight into a different aspect or function of the object. For example, the memory object has counters called % Committed Bytes in Use, Available Bytes, Page Faults/sec, and more. System Monitor takes the readings from these counters and presents the information to you in a human-readable format.
