Group Policy Management Console

The Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) is a free add-on from Microsoft that can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. The GPMC can be installed on either Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP SP1 and can be used to manage GPOs in either a Windows 2000 or a Windows Server 2003 domain. After the GPMC is installed, the Group Policy tab that was previously used in the Active Directory Users and Computers MMC to access Group Policy settings is replaced with a message and a button that opens the GPMC MMC.
