Brian Travis

Brian Travis is Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Architag International Corporation (http://www.architag.com), a consulting and training company based in Colorado.

Brian is an expert in real-world XML implementations. Since founding Architag (then known as Information Architects) in 1993, he has created intelligent content management systems and e-business solutions for clients around the world.

Brian is also a noted instructor and lecturer in XML and related standards. In his role as principal instructor for Architag University, he teaches clients about XML in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Brian speaks and leads tutorials and seminars for the largest internet and e-commerce conferences in the world, including Internet World, Web Design and Development, Microsoft TechEd, and COMDEX.

Brian has written books on intelligent content management and is the editor of <TAG> Newsletter, a publication that is devoted to structured information systems and has a worldwide readership. His current work-in-progress is "1,001 Duck-Bar Jokes," which will be published when that magical number in the title is reached. He currently has 26.

Brian lives in United Airlines seat 2C, but he pays taxes in Colorado, where he is the only one in the neighborhood with a T1 line going to his La-Z-Boy.

His passion, however, is soaking in the spa, basking in the moonlight.
