Search For Photos

When you want to search for photos, use the Search field located in the bottom-right corner of the iPhoto window.

1.

Click on the album you want to search, or click "Library" to search your entire photo collection.

2.

Type a keyword or phrase in the Search field (see the callout, below). Use a term that you remember entering in the photo title, in the comments box, or as a keyword.

3.

Click the "Search" button. Photos that do not contain that word or phrase are removed from the viewing area as you type.

In the example below, iPhoto has found every photo in the Library with the word "Bermuda" attached to it, even though the search word is just partially typed in the Search field. As we type, iPhoto has narrowed the search to photos that contain the letters "Ber."
