Chapter 15. Mail

With Mail you can write, send, and receive email messages. Mail also has many useful tools for organizing, formatting, searching, and filtering email.

The basic things you will be doing in Mail are checking messages, replying to messages, and composing new messages. On these first few pages are directions for how to do just that. If you haven't created an email account yet so you can use Mail, jump ahead to pages 439443 to learn how to create accounts.

You must have an Internet connection already set up, and you must have already set up your email service with your .Mac membership or with any other email provider. If you haven't set up a .Mac account yet, and you want one (you don't have to have one), go to www.mac.com and sign up for a .Mac membership.
