Safari Preferences

Most preferences for Safari are self-explanatory. Click a button in the toolbar to open the preferences pane for that particular item. Each preference pane is identified by its highlighted button and by the name in the title bar.

The Tabs preferences are explained on page 397.

The RSS preferences are explained on page 393

AutoFill automatically fills out web page forms using the personal contact information from your Address Book.

Click the Edit buttons to edit the information in your Address Book card, or to delete any web sites that you have told Safari to AutoFill.

If you choose "User names and passwords" and later fill out a form on a web page, Safari asks if you want AutoFill to remember this information for you. You can choose "Never for this Website," "Not Now," or "Yes." If you choose "Yes," the next time you go to that site, Safari fills in the name and password. Only choose this option if no one else uses your computer!
