This is a technique that you can share with the coachee so that he or she can use it whenever feeling unsure or believing that he or she cannot succeed “ it is a form of ˜self-talk .
Explain that whenever the coachee finds him- or herself thinking ˜I can t do this or putting him- or herself down, the coachee should:
Stop.
Create a positive statement of what he or she is going to do or the level of success “ such as ˜I can do this ; ˜ I have what it takes ; ˜This will be the best . . . , ˜I have done everything required .
Repeat the sentence three times, each time with more feeling and conviction .
