Updating Using the Installation CD-ROMs

After installation, you can install software from the Red Hat Linux CD-ROMs by inserting CD-ROM #1 into your computer. You will be prompted for the root password. After entering the password successfully, the Package Management Tool interface will appear and allow you to select package groups to be installed as well as individual packages within the groups. Refer to the "Updating with the Package Management Tool” section earlier in this chapter for details.
