1. Display the Toolbox containing the available controls.

   Press Alt/V/X.
   
   

2. Place a new control on the form.

   Option I: (new control with default size)

    

   1.

   Drag the control onto the form and release the mouse button.
   
   

   Option II: (new control with default size and position)

    

   1.	Double-click on the control's icon in the Toolbox. The new control will be placed on top of the last-drawn control.
   2.	Size and position the control as described in items G and H, which follow.

   Option III: (a single new control sized and positioned as it is created)

    

   1.	Click on the control's icon in the Toolbox.
   2.	Move the mouse to the approximate position on the form desired for the upper-left corner of the control.
   3.	Press and hold the left mouse button.
   4.	Move the mouse to the position on the form desired for the lower-right corner of the control. A rectangle will indicate the overall shape of the new control.
   5.	Release the left mouse button.
   6.	The control can be resized and repositioned as described in items G and H.

3. Create a related group of controls.

    

   1.	Place a group box on the form to hold the related group of controls.
   2.	Use the options in item B of this section to place controls in the group box.

4. Select a particular control.

   Press the Tab key until the control is selected.

5. Delete a control.

    

   1.	Select the control to be deleted.
   2.	Press the Delete key.

6. Delete a related group of controls.

    

   1.	Select the group box holding the related group of controls.
   2.	Press the Delete key.

7. Move a control or related group of controls to a new location.

    

   1.	Move the mouse onto the control or the group box containing the related group of controls.
   2.	Drag the object to the new location.

8. Change the size of a control.

    

   1.	Select the desired control.
   2.	Move the mouse to one of the sizing handles located around the edge of the control. The mouse pointer will change to a double-arrow, which points in the directions that resizing can occur.
   3.	Drag to the desired size.

9. Change the size of a form.

    

   1.	Move the mouse to the edge or corner of the selected form that is to be stretched or shrunk. The mouse pointer will change to a double-arrow, which points in the directions that resizing can occur.
   2.	Drag to the desired size.
