Basic Options

On Imaging's Tools menu, you'll find a command called General Options. The dialog box for this command, shown in Figure 37-1, lets you specify four settings that govern basic aspects of Imaging's behavior. You can tell the program how you want images to be sized initially (the default behavior enlarges or reduces image size so that their width fits the width of the main window), whether you want scroll bars, which folder you want Imaging to use by default, and whether you want image files associated with the full Imaging program or the preview program.

Figure 37-1. Here you can specify whether files you launch should open in the full Imaging program or in Imaging Preview.

TIP
If you choose to forego scroll bars, you can still move around a large image by using the Drag button on the Imaging toolbar. Click the hand (or choose Drag from the Edit menu), and then drag any part of the image.
