Using the View Menu

You've done a great deal to customize your interface, but on some occasions you might want to clean up even furthermaybe you want to see only the editor window. You can hide windows as well as make the editor window full screen. This is all done through the View menu.

  1. Choose View > Full Screen.

This will make the resource windows and the editor window take up the full screen by removing the toolbars across the top of the editor and using the space that they occupied.

    TIP

You can toggle the full screen mode on and off by pressing Ctrl+F12. Do this now to view the toolbars.

  2. Choose View > Resource Tab.

This will cause the Resource tab to disappear, and the editor window to take the space it occupied. This option is useful when you want to see more code on the screen at once.

    TIP

You can toggle the Resource tab on and off by pressing F9.

You can show or hide most of the windows by toggling them on or off in the View menu. You can also do this with the quickbar.

No matter what changes you makeeither moving menus around or removing items from the quickbaryou can always get back to square one by selecting Options > Customize and clicking Reset to Defaults.
