An Applied Framework for Project Management (http://www.pmi.org/info/PDC_AppliedFramework.asp?nav=0405) An Applied Framework for Project Management, a module-based, online course, is offered by PMI in support of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). This course includes project management templates, checklists, and worksheets for projects of all sizes and complexities. You are given real-world scenarios allowing for interaction and explanatory sessions. Eleven modules are provided in a sequential order. You have no set time limit for completing the materials, although there is an overall deadline of 1 year of access to the course. The cost of the course is $425 for PMI members and $475 for non-members. Members receive two CEU and PDU credits.

SEI was established in 1984 to support process improvement in software engineering. It offers a maturity model referencing mature practices in a specific discipline to improve a group's ability to perform that discipline. The original model Capability Maturity Model (CMM) has since evolved into the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) and offers an integrated set of models to provide a structured framework for process improvement throughout an organization. In many professional settings, CMMI and PMBOK are tailored to support the business goals of the organization. CMMI supports project management and the goals of PMI and the PMBOK with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
