Chapter 42. Preparing Your Graphics for the Web

Many digital artists today are creating graphics for the World Wide Web. Creating images for the Web, though, means working within certain limitations. You must be aware of things such as color palettes, dithering, anti-aliasing, and Web file formats.

You must also be aware of file compression. You don't need to know about it at the same level as programmers do, but you must be aware of the difference it can make with your images.
