VPN 3000 Concentrators can perform encryption in software or hardware. Hardware encryption is performed with SEP modules and SEP-E modules (AES).
Concentrator models 3015 and higher can hold up to four SEP modules; two are for top-down redundancy. If the top SEP module fails, the redundant module saves the sessions. If the redundant module fails, remaining SEP(s) or the software handles the session, but the sessions will need to be re-established.
The VPN 3000 Concentrators and VPN 3002 Hardware Client both have a default login and password of admin.
Quick Configuration enables you to configure the minimal parameters necessary to initialize the VPN 3000 Concentrator and the VPN 3002 Hardware Client.
You must at least configure the private interface's IP address to use the HTML-based VPN 3000 Concentrator Manager. The Concentrator Manager contains three divisions: Configuration, Administration, and Monitoring.
