Overview

For many years, CIOs and CTOs have been working hard to secure a place at the top management table. Now some business and industry gurus say IT is no longer strategic, it's just becoming a commodity and can't give a competitive advantage. Are they right?

The book will review all of the current events, and thought leadership to become a CTO or a CIO. This book also acts as a complete reference guide. It is important to note that the CTO and CIO terms will be used interchangeably throughout the book due to increasingly integrated focus. We will separate the role when required to make the necessary points.

Throughout the book, we will use CTO and CIO's terminology interchangeably, but it is important to summarize and define Key Technology Leaders from the initial start. In reality, facing new economic climate, one person will be assigned to handle technology leadership in a corporation.
