Using the Clipboard isn't rocket science—we've all been working with the Windows Clipboard since the earliest incarnations of Word. The Office Clipboard in Word 2002, however, is truly a "new and improved" Clipboard, with broader paste capabilities and a task pane you can display while you work.
What's more, you can display the Office Clipboard by choosing Edit, Office Clipboard. The Clipboard opens in a task pane along the right side of your work area. (See Figure 6-25.)

When you've saved an item to the Clipboard, you can paste it in several different ways:
The Office Clipboard includes a number of options you can control from the Clipboard task pane. When you click the Options button in the lower left corner of the task pane, you're given four different commands in the drop-down menu. Table 6-4 gives you an overview of each.
