For the final chapter's game project, you develop a two-player Visual C++ version of the Tic-Tac-Toe game. You track and validate player moves and determine when a game is won, lost, or tied. Figures 11.1 to 11.3 illustrate the overall functionality and flow of the Tic-Tac-Toe game.
Figure 11.1: The Tic-Tac-Toe game begins by displaying a blank game board.
Figure 11.2: The game keeps track of each player's turn.
Figure 11.3: The game monitors each player's move and determines when there is a winner.
By the time you have created, tested, and run this game, you will have successfully placed yourself on the path to becoming a Visual C++ programmer. The examples in this book can serve as a foundation for you to further your explorations into the language. The techniques you have learned up to this point enable you to begin building more complex and capable Visual C++ applications.
