Within a paragraph both acronyms and DCL commands are capitalized. The reader should be able to distinguish between the two. A sample command sequence is listed together with the resulting output separated from the prose, and monospaced. That will look somewhat like a screen display, for instance
$ INITIALIZE/QUEUE/BATCH - _$ /AUTOSTART_ON=(NODE1::, NODE2::) SYS$BATCH
The dash at the right end of the first line is typed by the user and indicates the command is continued on the next line. The second line's prompt is '_$' not '$' to indicate the continuation.
