The package definition files (SMS format) are used by Microsoft Systems Management Server to install Office remotely. For Microsoft Office 2003, the package definition files are consolidated into two core files: Office11.SMS, which covers all Office 2003 editions, and Mui11.SMS, which covers the Microsoft Office 2003 Multilingual User Interface Packs (MUI Packs). You must have Systems Management Server 2.0 with Service Pack 2 to deploy Office 2003.
The package definition files are automatically installed on your computer when you install the Office Resource Kit. To locate the files, click the Start button, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Tools, point to Microsoft Office Resource Kit, and then click Package Definition Files.
The package definition files can also be downloaded from the Toolbox on the Office 2003 Resource Kit Web site.
