A description of each component is included in the following table.


Component Description
Personalization system Works with Active Server Pages to dynamically generate Web pages based on stored user preferences. It enables you to deliver targeted content to each site visitor.
Content replication system Allows you to implement site staging and mirror servers and connect departmental Web sites into a corporate backbone. It provides a reliable, secure, and efficient way to move content within a corporation or across the Internet.
Web Publishing Wizard Gives users the ability to easily post Web pages to most types of Web servers. Use it to post content to a staging server.
Posting Acceptor Enables Microsoft Internet Information Server to accept Web content from the Web Publishing Wizard and other clients via HTTP Post. It also integrates with the Content Replication System to automate the posting of Web content to multiple servers.
Usage Analyst Imports Web server logs and provides a wide variety of usage analysis reports. You can choose from various summary, detail, and comprehensive analysis reports to get information about your site's activity.
Site Analyst Provides comprehensive site visualization, content analysis, link management, and reporting capabilities for managing Web sites. Site Analyst helps you visualize how your site is laid out, recognize repetitive content, and identify broken links.
Microsoft Visual InterDev Visual InterDev is an integrated development system for building dynamic Web applications. It includes an integrated development environment, seamless connectivity to any ODBC-based databases, prebuilt features, wizards, and content creation tools.
