Project Server itself is typically an easy installation. Once you’ve moved past the integration quirks with STS, Analysis Services, and SMTP, installing the Project Server application software is remarkably trouble-free most of the time. In fact, most situations are related to reinstallation and not first-time installation when a structured process is followed for the first time.
When you verify the creation of your Project Server database and you discover that four zeros (0000) have been appended to the name of your database in SQL, you missed the manual database uninstall steps. Refer to the uninstall discussion later in this chapter.
