Chapter 12: Establishing the Project Environment and Configuring Project Server Views

Overview

If you’ve been using this book as a guide to building your system, you’re now very close to having a fully functional implementation. With your resource pool built, all that’s left is to bring your existing projects and templates into the new enterprise environment and configure your custom project views.

I saved building the views for this chapter because they’re easier to validate, from a design perspective, when data is available to populate them. Because custom enterprise field names don’t become available in Project Web Access until after a project has been published that carries the fields, it makes sense to configure the views after getting some projects into the environment.

In this chapter you’ll finish the job of configuring your system and stage the system for your pilot launch.
