Naming the Routines

Using standard z/OS conventions, each routine can have any name up to eight characters in length. Be sure that this name is unique and that it does not conflict with the existing members of the data set into which you place the routine. Because most IMS-supplied routines begin with the prefix "DFS", "DBF", "DSP", "DXR", "BPE","CQS", or "CSL", you should not choose a name that begins with these letters, unless the specific routine requires it. Also, specify one entry point for the routine.
