19. Accessible Software AuthorsOne of the first pieces of software I bought for my Mac was a personal database called StickyBrain (now renamed SOHONotes, available from chronosnet.com). Eventually, I came up with ideas for new features and sent them to product support. Within 24 hours, I got a note from Chronos, thanking me for my suggestions. A day later, two of the three features I wanted were added to the program! Can you imagine that happening with Microsoft Word? In my experience, many of the people creating software for Macs are more accessible and responsive than their PC counterparts. |
