You can use smart tags to save time. Using Smart Tags, Word can open another program to get driving directions or a map to a location or schedule a meeting.
Word recognizes certain types of text and identifies them as smart tags by displaying a dotted purple line beneath them.
Move the mouse pointer () over a smart tag.
The Smart Tag Actions icon () appears.
Click to display a list of actions you can take using the smart tag.
Click an action.
The program that performs the action you selected appears on-screen.
