Although Word is primarily a word-processing software package, you can spruce up your documents in a variety of ways using graphics.
WordArt is decorative text that you can add to a document as an eye-catching visual effect. You can create new WordArt text or apply a WordArt style to existing text.
Click the location where you want to add WordArt.
You can select existing text and apply WordArt to it.
Click Insert.
Click Picture.
Click WordArt.
The WordArt Gallery dialog box appears.
Click the style you want to apply.
Click OK.
The Edit WordArt Text dialog box appears.
If you selected text in step 1, your text appears selected; otherwise, the words “Your Text Here” appear selected.
If necessary, type the text you want to display using WordArt.
Click OK.
Word displays text formatted in the selected WordArt style.
Can I edit or delete WordArt?
Yes. To do so, follow these steps:
Click the WordArt text that you want to edit or delete.
Handles () appear around the selected WordArt.
The WordArt toolbar appears.
Press to delete the WordArt or click Edit Text.
The Edit WordArt Text dialog box redisplays.
