You can apply any number of predefined table styles to a table to format it.
Click anywhere in the table.
Click Table.
Click Table AutoFormat.
The Table AutoFormat dialog box appears.
A list of available table styles appears here.
Click the table style you want to use.
A preview of the table style appears here.
The parts of the table to which Word applies the table style appear here.
Click an option to add () or remove () it from the table style.
Click Apply.
The table appears in the table style you selected.
How can I remove a table formatting design?
If you just applied the formatting, you can click the Undo icon (). If you performed other actions since applying the table formatting design, perform steps 1 to 4, selecting Table Grid as the table style. Then, click Apply.
What happens if I click the Default button in the Table AutoFormat dialog box?
A dialog box appears, enabling you to set the selected table style as the default table style. You can set a default table style for all new tables in the current document or for all future new documents. Click an option and then click OK to set a default table style; otherwise, click Cancel.
