WS-Addressing

Document:

Web Services Addressing (WS-Addressing)

Purpose:

To define a type of endpoint reference that can be included (for example) in a SOAP message header. The endpoint reference allows an SOA runtime

  • to direct data to a particular service location or service operation

  • to specify that the returned message is destined for a location other than that of the requester

WS-Addressing is the most basic WS-* specification and allows support of advanced message-exchange patterns.
