About the Authors


Martin Lippert, Stefan Roock, and Henning Wolf are research assistants at the University of Hamburg and professional software architects and consultants at IT Workplace Solutions. Among their current research interests are framework design and implementation, refactoring, Java, and Extreme Programming. They are senior architects of the JWAM framework and have gathered experience with Extreme Programming techniques over the past three years. They are project coaches for Extreme Programming and software architectures, and have given a number of talks, tutorials, and demonstrations on various topics of software engineering and XP at international conferences, including XP2000 and XP2001, ECOOP, ICSTest, and OOP.

Heinz Züllighoven is a professor in the computer science department, Software Engineering Group, University of Hamburg, and is CEO of IT Workplace Solutions. His research interests are principles of software architecture for large interactive systems and lightweight software development strategies. He has written many books and articles on software engineering topics.
