What Are the Objects?

Another way to evaluate metaphors is to look for the "four key objects" they imply. (It might be fewer, but it won't be much more than four objects.) For example, the alarm system might have a current value, limits, and a bell. By looking at the objects behind the metaphor, and especially the interactions between those objects, we can get insights into how our system does work and how it should work.
