Protecting Yourself

Every photographer and studio should have insurance, including property, general liability, health, disability, and workers' compensation. Your insurance needs to cover you out on location also, because equipment can easily be lost, damaged, or stolen. Many clients request to see a certificate of liability insurance to make sure the photographer is fully covered before working on their property. Be sure to find out your individual state requirements and shop around for the best prices.
