In this chapter we've looked at the different error types that occur in PHP, and discussed the default PHP error handler. We then went on to look at how to handle errors with our own error handling function, which can show more professional and helpful messages, should an error occur. Next, we looked at creating our own custom debugging function, which can be used to quickly see information about the variables and arrays in your script as it's running. In the last section, we looked at various debugging techniques, and showed ways of getting help online, from web sites, newsgroups, and Macromedia's own forums. |
