Before you start working with MSMQ, you must ensure that you've installed MSMQ on the server. You can install MSMQ by selecting Control Panel Add/Remove Programs Message Queuing Services. If you aren't running Windows 2000 or later versions, the installation may ask you to insert your Windows CD. Windows 2000 (Professional and Server) installs MSMQ with the operating system by default.
To see if you have MSMQ installed your machine, you can select Control Panel Administrative Tools Computer Management and then expand the Message Queuing node, as shown in Figure 21-1.
