Document management and "housekeeping" are often a big part of your digital photography workflow. Aperture is designed to handle many of these chores for you, allowing you to easily create multiple versions, backups, and archives.

Aperture provides all of the features that you need to manage and back up your images. However, you can also use the Finder to gain access to your files from within the Aperture Library.

Before you start manually manipulating the Aperture Library, though, it's best to give the program's built-in Export commands a try.
