Online Authoring Resources

Okay, so we labored to provide comprehensive, easy to use, all in one tutorials on the big four streaming audio formats. And heaven knows we succeeded, right? But, of course, being the inquisitive and incredulous person you, dear reader, are, you want more. More information, more knowledge and access to more tools. Here it is. Contained in these URLs is everything you wanted to know about the RealAudio, Windows Media, QuickTime and MP3 formats (as well as some other useful info), and were not afraid to ask.

It also includes links to an online forum where you can post questions and get help from SHOUTcast developers and other SHOUTcast users. If you enter the forum, make sure you read the item at the top labeled Sticky: Read Before Posting because it's a resource of links to answers of common questions.

  • www.icecast.org Covers all things Icecast (a compatible alternative to SHOUTcast for MP3 streaming).

  • http://software.mp3.com A comprehensive resource for all types of MP3 and audio software.
