To start your live show, simply enter Slide Show view.
Click on View. The View menu will appear.
Click on Slide Show. The slide show will begin.
To move between slides with the keyboard or mouse:
Click the left mouse button, or press Enter or the right arrow, to move forward.
Press the Backspace key or the left arrow to move backward.
You can also use an on-screen menu system.
Right-click anywhere in Slide Show view. A menu will appear.
Click on Next or Previous.

Point to Go to Slide and then click the slide to display.
Note | When you reach the last slide, a black screen will appear with a message prompting you to press any key to return to PowerPoint. You can also end a show early by pressing the Esc key. |
Pausing is useful if you have automatic advance timings set up and you need to stop for a discussion.
Right-click on the slide. A menu will appear.
Click on Pause. Automatic advance will be stopped.
Note | There is no shortcut key for the Pause command. The natural choice would be P, but P is used for "Previous" and takes you to the previous slide. |
Right-click on the slide again when you are ready to resume. A menu will appear.
Click on Resume. Automatic slide advance will resume.
You can blank out the screen temporarily during the presentation. This might be useful if you want to pause for an extended discussion but don't want to turn off the projector.
Right-click on the slide. A menu will appear.
Point to Screen. A submenu will appear.
Click on Black Screen. The screen will become solid black.
OR
Click on White Screen. The screen will become solid white.
Click the mouse or press a key. The presentation will resume.
