Applying Formatting to the Diagram

There are several ways to give the diagram a different look. If you'd like a quick and easy way to stylize a diagram, use one of the AutoFormats. You can also apply a unique color and line style to each shape and add a background to the diagram area.

Using AutoFormats

This works on all diagram types, although the choices of style are different for each type.

  1. Click on the AutoFormat button. The Style Gallery dialog box for the diagram will open.

  2. Click on a style from the Select a Diagram Style list. A preview of the selected style will appear in the Preview pane.

  3. Click on OK when you have made your selection. The diagram style will be updated.

  1. Right-click on any part of the diagram. A menu will appear.

  2. Click on Use AutoFormat. The menu will close, and AutoFormat will be turned off.

  3. Click on a box of the diagram. That box will be selected.
