Mandatory

As I alluded to above, these features are mandatory due to their importance in solving the application integration problem, or a complete stack of features that will allow you to approach most problem domains. Keep in mind that, while some features won't find service in some application integration projects, you'll need them as part of your infrastructure as your problem domain changes and grows in scope. In other words, the notion here is to create an application integration technology stack that serves the application needs of your enterprise now and into the future. This is very important when you consider the cost of replacing the technology or, more importantly, the strategic issues of not having the proper application integration infrastructure to react to changes in the industry.
